These ideas work for both web-based businesses and bricks and mortar businesses that have an Internet presence. The objective is to grow sales while reducing costs. Now you can integrate Internet marketing strategies into your business to save money and increase revenue.
- AutoResponders: Capture new leads on your website and respond with a sequential series of email messages that sends your prospect information that they want. A very effective way to build trust with your prospects is to offer a “mini-course” that delivers content-rich and relevant information to your opt-in subscribers.
- Take payments online: It is now easy sell products online and set up an online payment system through PayPal.com or your own merchant account. Once you set up your account, it’s simple to sell products or services online by purchasing an online shopping cart.
- Order fulfillment: Once a sale has been made, automatically deliver products to your customer. If you are selling digital products such as eBooks, software or reports / data, deliver as soon as payment is received. For physical products automatically send shipping instructions for drop shipping or to your fulfillment company.
- Knowledge Base: Add a Knowledge Base to the website to reduce incoming phone calls and speed the purchasing decision. This is a comprehensive FAQ area that is searchable. If your online business is going to run on autopilot, you need to provide answers and instructions to your customers. Divide these into before the sale and after the sale topics.
- Recurring billing: Process payments on your customers’ credit cards on a weekly, monthly, yearly, etc. basis. This can be integrated easily with just about any online ordering system. This works with offline sales too.
