What are your Web Design Goals?

Before you can start designing the website, you need to decide what the purpose and goals of the website are. What are the company’s goals? The web design produces a marketing piece. The Internet marketing strategies need to be consistent with the marketing strategies for the organization.

Company Objectives: What image does the company want to present? A company that is a highly professional, top quality company with a beautiful building will want to reflect this same image into their website design. But a website can help level the playing field. A smaller company can have a great website image and be bigger than life.

Marketing Objectives: The industry, competitors and the targeted customers will demand a certain type of look and design. How are these products positioned in the market? How visible do you want to be with the search engines? It is much better to design the SEO strategies into the website rather than add them in later.

Website Objectives: Is the website going to sell product, provide information and / or take applications online? What action do you want visitors to take? Call? Order online? Request a quote?

Once you understand the answers to these questions, you can begin the web design process.
